CLUB RUN TO MALLALA 18/10/25

Subject: RUN TO MALLALA 18/10/25
We had 20 members on this run but didnt get to the Mushroom farm due to circumstances at this time but we all had a great time after getting the old cars out of their sheds and giving them a good old country run ,with little traffic on the roads. Craig and Gillian took us on some interesting backroads to start with and we had a scenic back road run from One Tree Hill through to Gawler where we drove up through the newer parts of Gawler after turning on to Schomburgk Drive and driving East where not many of our group would have been before. We then took the usual roads to Mallala turning into Irish Street just past the 50kph sign and then left into Butler St where we drove along to the property of Rob Goodwin. This is more than just a home and he has very large buildings with very large surrounding growing areas under sun cover where there are lots of various unusual fruit and nut trees . We were given a nice morning tea there , and then we were taken around by Rob and he gave a detailed explanation about all that was growing there. We dont know how he has done so much. We all stood around chattering for quite a while. A big thanks goes to Rob. After that some of us went on to the OP shop and then we all had a good lunch and much more chattering at the Mallala Pub . After lunch some of the group drove over to see a large car display nearby. President Steve gave a big thank you to Craig and Gillian for organising this interesting outing and also a big thanks goes to Rob Goodwin for having us all visit his very interesting property Thanks again to Craig & Gillian.
Cheers Bruce & Anne
